Hello from the very south of down-under.
I've been lurking for a while, I have a lot to learn but would like to be able to make the plus 350 meter shots that I now pass on.
My goto rifle was a 250 Savage with a 4x scope but I am putting together a 270 Vanguard with dial up capable glass.
We hunt in very mountainous country so rifles get carried a lot - sorta means lightweight is good !
Hopefully with some development and a lot of practise I can get to be 500 meter capable and not have to pass up on the next big bull Tahr that presents "out there".
My wife and I love to host folk so overseas hunters are always welcome to stay, and I often can arrange a hunt to help get visiting hunters "aclimatised" to our mountains before they go off with their guide.
All the best from Southland, New Zealand.
