ADL to bdl magazine conversion

I am in the process of finishing the initial stages of a Remington 700 build and ordered a bdl bottom metal. I assumed the magazine box and spring were the same but they aren't.
Can my current spring and magazine be made to fit?
A video I saw said the magazine was simply shorter...seems like a file could handle that.

The gun is a 270 win so long action.
Stock is a McMillan Remington compact.

I saw the video last night which made me aware of the difference.
My ADL magazine does not have a screw or a cut out in the back. I am assuming because it's older. Can my current magazine be modified?

Does Bobbie sell these?

the ADL has a plastic trigger guard. does the McMillian have the pattern

of the 700 BDL LA? if u r going to due this modification correctly u will have to

get the bottom metal of the a 700 LA. brownell's sells the parts. u r spending

$300 for steel aftermarket parts. get on the internet sometimes a person can find all

the bottom metal at once. i have done this mod. on 721's. might take some time

but the parts can b found.lightbulbgun)

Msax80 - you've spent a lot of money on the build already, why not just "bite the bullet" and get the right parts? Risking buggering up the job isn't worth the few bucks you might save; INO.
