action help

Where are you guys getting your Rem 700 actions, and what are you using for bottom metal. I need a long action with an 06 boltface. Stainless prefered. Thanks in advance.

Look for a used SS 700 in any of the long action non-magnum calibers and you'll be good to go. You can buy after market bottom metal if you choose, or use the bottom metal that comes with the rifle. There are guys selling the actions/rifles all the time on most of the boards you just have to be patient and hunt for them.
Bruno's Shooting Supply sells them NIB w/o the bottom metal.

I think there is one on benchrest.com/classifieds. The stiller/lawton option is always there for a couple hundred more.
