So being as I have a 22CM, 6CM and a 6.5CM I figured I may as well go full man bun/sandals and build a 25CM. I'm gonna have someone do a prefit but I am bouncing around on what action to use. I am bouncing back and forth on a defiance classic, Kelbly Nanook or a Terminus. Want it to be a DBM setup.
Anyone have prefit experience with the Defiance classic or the terminus brand actions (not QC)?

Almost all of my prefits are on defiance actions. Although I have several on Zermat as well.
If you don't already have an action, check out the SOLUS.
You can usually find these on sale for about 700 bucks. I bought several over the black Friday holiday special for around ~625$
I had an extra 6 mm barrel that didn't quite fit any particular cartridge I wanted to build so I built a 6/6.5 PRC on the Solus.

How on earth can they build that and sell it for $700 and make a profit?

I don't know, but they are coming out with a long action this year supposedly.
I signed up for their notification list and their routinely discounting AR 15 receivers heavily… And they will occasionally discount the Solus action by 30%
I guess one can say the same about defiance classic where it was $850 and the Zermat was on sale for $800 this last Black Friday
Perhaps it's an inventory overstock sale…

I am in no way saying they aren't good quality. More so pointing out that a lot of actions are twice that cost and do you really get that much more for twice the expense.
I have a Defiance classic getting nitrided right now but haven't actually had one in my hands. Prob be 2 weeks until I get it.

Agreed. My first SOLUS action is great. I match it up to the Zermat any day of the week. But it does fall behind my defiance actions on running the bolt and finish.

I also have a 22, 6 and 6.5 Creed...all mine are on Zermatt TL3s but I found a screaming deal on an ARC M7 Mausingfield so I did my 25 Creed on the M7. LOVE IT.

I went classic but my smith told me he'd prefer to have the action in hand prior to doing a prefit since he hadn't handled one yet (which I appreciated)

If I had it to do over I would have went with the kelbly because the classic is almost a mirror of my anti action.
