Absolute Hammer 264 win mag

Bullberry is building me a new 264 WM barrel for my Encore, plan on using 120 TTSX or 127 LRX, both which I have on hand. If I wanted a laser beam load using the Absolute Hammer what gr should I try? Just looking to keep options open, this will be shot a whitetails if that matters.

The 123 gr. AH needs a 1/8 twist. I would look at Steve's website the minimum twist rate is listed for each bullet.

Before you invest in any Absolute Hammers make sure your Rifle has the proper twist to Shoot them. For instance the 129 Absolute must have a
1-7.5 or faster.

It is a 1/8 twist 26"so I can get a pretty decent velocity with the N570, Retumbo or H1000 and 120 TTSX that I have laying around now, I just thought might see what all the hype is about. If going to be a waste of money then just stick with what I got.

You'll need much faster powder for the absolutes, and about 4350 speed or faster for regular hammer hunters. Look at Hammer Hunter Load data and Absolute Hammer Load Data threads on this forum.

So, in my 8" twist 29" barrel with a throat roughly .220" long, and running whatever Hammer works, would I still need a fast powder?
I ask because this rifle works best with Retumbo and H50BMG. If I could get my hands on RE33 and US869 then that's what it would be fed.

Thinking of trying Hammers, not a huge fan of solids normally, but could be persuaded.
Looking at the above, a 9" twist 270 Bee and a 10" twist 300 RUM. Also have a 9" twist 338, but don't hear much mentioned in that cal with the Hammers. Thinking of doing another 375 with a 9" twst.
I guess I better read up on these hammers. Dunno if any will work in a 9.25" twist STW.

Go to the Hammer website. Each bullet lists recommended twist rate. Use that or faster twist and you'll be golden. If at or slower than recommended twist rate, you may not get good on animal stability (terminal stability).
Hammers are not particularly sensitive to jump. Some of my very accurate loads exceed .150 jump!

Not a big fan of US869 as it is not a rod type powder and it's small ball design makes it hard to work with a trickle or a spoon. It will also become static with motion so the more you try to be precise the worse it gets

I have H4350, IMR4831, even some 4198 I use in my 45 SML conversion. The only 264 WM load I saw in the load data was from Hesp and 124 HH using RL33 if not mistaken which is slower than even my 570 so just worried that will be a waste of money. Also since I doing this in a single shot pressure tends to be a little more difficult to read than if was loading for my 300RUM in a 700 action. Thoughts?

I went back and looked and there are more than I thought on the Hammer load data page will look at the absolute when get to a computer and away from this phone.

Stick with the Hammer Hunter bullets for now. The Absolute Hammers are a whole other animal entirely and from what you've listed for powders none of them are appropriate for Absolute Hammer loads.

With the amount of case capacity the 264 win mag has I think a burn rate of h4350 and slower will work fine with the 123 gr absolute I'm using N165 with my 6.5 prc 123 gr absolute and getting 3452fps and its way slower than h 4350 63.5 grs compressed no excess pressure I use the same powder 58.3 grs with the 124 gr hammer hunter at 3300 fps
