Exactly!I don't get all the hoopla. He was a CEO of an insurance company. It's not like he owned a local gun store or something important.
I wonder if his insurance covers things of this nature?

Another link to the Shooting in NYC:
Who makes that? Doesn't appear to be your normal hobbyist fare. This is the pistol they are now reporting he used:

This updated, integrally suppressed pistol features a new grip and updated magazines, yet maintains its non-descript appearance, whisper-quiet sound signature and unique rotating bolt operation. This model in 9mm wears a 3-in. barrel. It finds its operational success as a magazine-fed, non-auto-ejecting single-shot functioning in a rotational bolt action. It is beautifully enhanced by wipe suppressor, and a baffled suppressor is an available option for those who prefer that design
Like I said, I get the don't give them an inch stance. Lucky for us he has two sons that are avid hunters and shooters. I don't think you gotta hide your cans. I'm on your side brother but sometimes they gotta sacrifice a few things politically. I'll happily give up bump stocks and glock switches if it keeps the crazies at bay and not focused on the weapons and components we actually care about.

You mean suppressor piston, I assume? In the video the shooter does not make hand motions consistent with operating that pistol, it operates like a semi auto handgun without the piston required to make it operate correctly in semi auto.
Shooting video is grainy but looks darn close to this:Actually no you don't, we already have a multitude of restrictions on firearms in this country and still have plenty of crime. Additionally the bump stock ban directly lead to the ATF going after pistol braces and home made firearms.
Just remember that rabbit hole is never ending, just look at Australia where pump action shotguns are banned as having no sporting purpose and larger cartridges like the 28 Nosler and .340 Weatherby are banned as because they can shoot far and go through bullet proof vests.
Also Glock switches are already completely illegal, you can thank good old China for shipping them into the US via wish.com.
Except it isn't one of those or the guy wouldn't have dropped 3 live rounds. That's someone at the NYPD scouring the internet for info and going off on a wild goose chase based on random stuff posted online. The one plus is that such firearms are pretty rare due to their $2,100 price tag so they should get through the list pretty quick and get back to leads that actually matter.

Yes, I have one for shooting my Hybrid on FNX-45, it's fun but its heavy and if you don't keep the piston clean then you get short strokes like seen in the video where you have to manually cycle the gun after each shot. You mean suppressor piston, I assume?
I wouldn't be so sure. I don't see changes to regulations happening, but cutting staffing and budgets to the alphabet agencies is a real possibility. That doesn't sound like great news for continued short NFA approvals to me.Meh. Things are looking up come January.
Not without prior authorization and network providers only.Exactly!

Yes. I think staffing and budget cuts and shortened waiting times for ANYTHING in government are a nonsequiter.I wouldn't be so sure.
