Took the 125 HHT out to 800 yards today running the G7 .255 BC. I was comparing Ballistic AE and the updated Applied Ballistic Quantum. Ballistic AE was over predicting elevation and windage. Applied Ballistic Quantum was spot on. I really wanted to compare it to Hornsby 4DOF but I can't add bullets. (There is an option but the App. locks up and I have to force exit the App. I sent a message to Hornady and they replied, "We are aware of the issue and hope to resolve it soon."
Before ppl ask. Yes inputs were exactly the same in both apps with rifle and real world environmental data. I've used Ballistic AE for years but always needed a little correction over 600 yards with this shooting system. I'll need to do a little more investigating on AB Quantum. But the noticeable input difference between Ballistic AE and AB Quantum is AB Quantum has input options for twist rate and bullet length and a much easier dual wind options. Ballistic AE has a multi-wind option but latest update wind correction has not been correct and needs to be updated.
The wind was really a challenge at 700 and 800 yards but was able to make quick correction and hit center mass on both targets with second shot.
