I made this stock for a new sporter rifle that I am building.
After I made it, I changed my mind on the style... so I am offering it up for sale.
It is a laminated blank of Pomele Bubinga. Bubinga is an exotic hardwood from Africa, and Pomele is the type of grading given to the wood. It is a high grade with heavy figure.
I made the blank.
The pictures were taken in natural light, and the wood is naked.
It is CNC inletted for a Stiller Predator long action, which is the same as the Remington 700, Stiller TAC 300, Borden Alpine, and all the other Remington clones.
The bottom metal inlet is for a standard BDL.
The barrel channel inlet is for a sporter barrel, 1.250" shank for 2" then a taper to .720" @ 27".
I did not shape the tang area of the stock, I always do that after I pillar bed.
I will shape it if you like.
If you are interested in this stock, and you or your gunsmith is a little apprehensive about working with this grade of wood, I can offer final fitting, pillar bedding, and finishing.
Asking price is $475.00.
That covers the material and the labor to make the blank.
You get the labor to CNC inlet and make the stock for nothing.
PM me here if interested, or call me with questions. 717.805.0940 EST.
