Every shooter has their reasons for choosing what they believe to be the ideal long-range cartridge, and these choices are many and varied. My method was fairly simple. I'd like this post to make the distinction between "long shots" and "long range hunting shots" and emphasize the ethics of hunting long range. Those new to long range hunting sometimes believe that if the bullet will reach the target that it's a good choice. We know that is not true.
