Currently I’m running 80gr eldms. I’m waiting on a Bartlein .219 5r 7.5-6.8 gain twist to run the 95smk. At 6.8 GSF is still 1.45 to get the most out out of the BC. I was going to go with a 7 twist but I’ve seen 1-2 other guys running 7 twist and would have a shot key hole from time to time. Seems like with the 6.5 twist at first guys can run them 3150 without issue then after a few hundred rounds they will start to blow up sometimes and they will drop to 3000-3050 and the issue goes away. You will hear results all over the place from guys running them in 6.5-7.5 twist no 2 barrels are the same and bore di. and rifling configuration can causes issues like with a 3groove .218 bore. I’m planning on running them at 2900fps from an 18” barrel for a suppressed hunting rifle, that puts me at 307k rpm. I went with the gain twist and 5r rifling for extra insurance. Wanted to try the 95s because I think they will still have less wind drift than the 80eldm at 3250 out of a 20” Bbl. Probably not worth it if you’re mostly shooting 600 and under though. Left factory 6cm 108 eldm, middle 22creed 95smk 2.850”, right factory 6.5cm 140eldm
