I bought a tc pro hunter with the 7 mm 08 barrel . Finally got to sight it in due to the weather, right now I'm shooting 120 Noslers over 43ish grains of IMR 4064 5 shot average at 100 yards is 3/4 inch. Which is superb in my opinion. I'd like to try to get a little more velocity though . 5 shot average over the chronograph is 2870 right now. I'm looking at trying varget or rl 15 . Which do you guys that's used these powders is more consistent and cleaner burning ? Thanks in advance

I have had extremely good results with Varget. I am getting 3120 with 120 Nosler Ballistic Tips, although I load pretty hot.

I guess I should probably be a little more specific in what I'm looking for . I'm hoping to get 3000 ish fps with that same accuracy or better . By looking at noslers load data varget and rl 15 both should do it easily . Just never used either before

For my Rem 700 CDL/SF 24" with 139/140 IMR 4064 41.5 at 2915fps CCI 200's a real joy to shoot & incredibly 1/2 MOA. Also, check out ALCO bullets. Lightest .284 is 168. BC's are out of this world & I know that the 30 cal's are the most accurate that I've shot. Waiting on the .284's at this point & for the next season to try on game.

Varget for the lightweights. My 120 Barnes load was north of 3200 without pressure signs.

RL 17 when you go heavy. 2700+ with 160 class bullets. I used RL 17 with the 142 Lehigh Controlled Chaos and got 2900 right on the nose with excellent accuracy.
