7mm STW & 180 gr Bergers

I am using 76grns of Retumbo with a 180 berger .005" into the lands on a broughton 5C 28" barrel. This produces 2960fps.

I'm putting together a 7mm STW with 30" Krieger 1:10" twist. Will the 160-168gr. VLD type bullets stabalize in this set up?

Yes it will stabalize. Berger actually reccomends a 1-10 twist for the 168VLD.

How about using a brass strip available at most hardward stores and forming this into a flat washer. I don't have access to parallel washers.

Have anyone tried Vihtavuori powder like n165 with this combo?
American gunpowder is hard to get in Scandinavia.

what rifling do you have ,i have 1:9,25, i it dont like heavy bullets, i tryed 180 gr eldm from hornady, no luck

If you have. 1 in 8 twist try 195 Berger with RL-26 in mine 74 grains gets me 2990 FPS ymmv

I was able to get 180VLDs to shot very good out of my factory 7RM Sendero. With N570 the extra speed has then repeatably accurate (0.75 MOA) even with the 9.25 twist. Right on the edge but works in my case.
