7mm rem mag

Shooting IMR 7828 ssc with great results (2950 fps 24" barrel) however I'm sure either will work great once you find its "node".

I've owns plenty of them and it's been my favorite deer sized cartridge... I've never owned one that didn't like H-4350 and rem mag primers... I've used the 140 grain Nosler Partition for over 45 years...nothing ever survived a hit from this time tested bullet !!

I have killed animals with 180, 162, 150, and 140 gr in 7mmRemMag, and I have shot a lot of holes in paper with 120 gr and others.

My theory is that low skill guys like me need a lighter weight bullet. I can kill out to 600 yards and like the 140 gr Nos Bal tip the best.

I have had great results with Retumbo for velocity (3100+ Fps ) and H1000 for a little less velocity (3020 fps). The H1000 gave me a much better ES. That is with the 168VLD. 26" barrel.

I use the 168 CH and 69.5 H1000 at 2960fps for my deer killer loads. Shoots pretty well in my 1963 M700. Kills deer with many DRT.

pack, several of my friends have found H1000 to be excellent with the 168 Berger VLD. The classic should be good also. All have Rem or Ruger 24" #2 barrels. Good luck

Loaded for four 7 rem mags. All used Retumbo, fed 215s and the 168 classic hunter. Powder charge weights from 71-73 grs. Velocities ran from 3050 to 3125 fps. 24 to 26" barrels.

I am using the 168g CH, 69.0 H1000, Fed 215M primer. my rifle has a Hart barrel w/1:8.25 twist. Start w/ lower powder charge and work up. I am currently seating about .010 off the lands.
