I am looking for imput from anyone who has experiance with a good 7mm rem mag load for whitetails. what bullet did you use ect?

Deer Load....

There are many good whitetail loads for the 7RM. When I take in a 7RM for custom load developement I start with R22 and H4831. I load a few different charge weights under bullets such as: 150NBT, 140NAB, 160NAB, 160 Sierra BTSP, 140NPT and try a few groups to see which the rifle prefers. Then, try and perfect that particular load. Fed 215 GMMs are my favorite primers, but the others will work as well.

IMR7828 and H1000 are good powders as well.

Good Luck

7mm Rem Mag: Rem brass, Hornady 162gr A-max, H-4831, CCI 250 primers.
I have tried H-4350 but have a little better luck with H4831.

Go with the Nosler 160 Partition over 62.0 grains of IMR 4831
OH and the Winchester Large rifle magnum primer, WLRM You will love it.

150gn Nosler Ballistic Tip, .010" off lands and grooves, 67.0gn RL22, CCI BR2, brass type hasn't seemed to matter in two different rifles, just fully prepped. JohnnyK.

140g NBT, 68.5g RL-22, RP case, Fed 215, loaded right at the lands. Gives 3250 fps, and groups 1/2 MOA or better out of my Rem 700 BDL 7 RM.

150g NBT, 63g IMR-4350, WW case, Fed 215, loaded to the lands. Gives 3000fps, and groups 1/2 MOA or better out of a Tikka T3 lite.

Re Retumbo

Hello, I have just started using it, and I will keep on using it!. I have a Rem 700 7mm RM and I shoot 168 gr Berger vlds. My load is (dare I say it) 77 grains of Retumbo! 2 grains over the listed maximum. I am getting 3068 fps with no pressure signs at all. I think it would be difficult to get enough in the case to overload. My load is mildy compressed and I would not be surprised if I could get a couple more grains in. I just don't want the hassle of heavily compressed loads, and mine shoots 3/4 inch groups with this load. I can recommend Retumbo! Good luck. (P.S probably best suited to heavier 7mm bullets)

Wow... that seems like a lot of powder! I'm also shooting the 168 Bergers in a factory sendero with Retumbo. My load is 70.0 gr, Fed 215M, seated .010 into the lands. Shoots right at .5 MOA @ 300 yards and just a shade over 3000 fps. Shot 71.0 grains with no pressure, but accuracy fell off just a bit. Can't imagine another 7 grains.

150 scirocco and 66 gr RX 22 in norma cases with fed 215 m fantastic. It is NOT max load, but work up to it, too many variables to consider to just shoot what someone else is shooting.

7RM loads...

Stumbled onto a few more that may work for you.

I loaded for 3 groups from a Sendero SFII this past weekend. The bullet was 162AMAX, 1st was 66 R22, 2nd 77 IMR7828, and 3rd was 66 grns H4831. All in preped neck sized WW brass with Federal 215 GMMs.

They shot .2, .3, and .5 back to back at 100 yards. Not too bad for some random loads and should definitely be something to build from. I intend to work with the 1st two and see which seems to give the best consistency.

Good Luck
