Hey gang! New go to board.
I have a Browning X Bolt 7mm Rem Mag, and I am currently loading the 162 gr ELDX for a hunt in North Missouri in a couple weeks.
I have 4831 on hand. Book max shows 63 grains, and test loads show 3050 FPS. Zero pressure signs.
Any advice? I want a solid 600 yard load if possible.
Thanks!

We've got a Tikka t3x here running either rl22 with a 140 sierra or aa8700 and a 175 hornady sp here and tossing clovers at 100 with either... I haven't chrono'd the rifle yet but other rifles I've shot rl22 with 140's in have done around 3200 fps with the load...

h1000, 160gr AB's, fed215's and good brass will get you what your looking for.

I have a custom 7mmRM and load 73gr (this is over max) with a 160gr in a nosler case with a fed215m, .368 at 200yd @ 3130fps. If I dropped the charge accuracy went in the dumps. I also load 72gr in a Browning X-bolt, for a good friend, It shoots .5 at 100yd. Not sure of the speed but it drops elk at 342yds

No matter the powder, you will need to find the accuracy node for YOUR set up.

Much later update to this thread. Thank you all for the advice!!!! I tweaked back and forth and found 63.5 grains of 4831, with an OAL of 3.31 is ridiculously accurate. Went from 3/4" group at 100, to same hole at 100. Haven't had time to stretch it out, but looking forward to seeing what it will do! TONS of great info from solid shooters on here. Thank you all!
