7mm LRM 180 Berger Hybrids

Anyone know how these perform on Whitetail deer size game ? My son just purchased one and wants to hunt deer with it. His rifle shoots them at 3,037 fps and shoots them very good. I know the 140 vlds work well but think the hybrids have a thicker jacket so not sure if they expand well or not.

Welcome from central FL,they work very well for me,(6 deer and one yote )one shot kill each....last year's total's ,,longest was 325yds.

Elk Hunter 338 built me a 7LRM a while back. The most accurate rifle I have ever owned. The bull in the avatar was taken with it too.

Deer and elk HATE the 180 Hybrid. We have used them on game @ 2996fps MV from 50ish to 882 with fantastic results. All but one have exited (105 yds, hard quartering on). Exits from $.25 to 2".

ive witnessed the same! its even more devastating at 3300!!

I love the cartridge my self I just can't get over the brass. I have two buddies with them. I wish ADG would do it.

the brass is the only thing that kept this round from being main stream they're stupid accurate and can make a berger sling! great cartridge ****** brass! I can do without the terrible long neck but it never hurt the round at all

The brass we have is stamped Gunwerks. Is this the brass you guys are referring to ?
