I believe some may find this useful...
just to see what I'll get from my 20" CF when it comes in - I had my guy cut my current 7mm 08 barrel to 20"
I ripped off Accuracy Int' and had wrench flats cut into it as well and pinned the recoil lug...all I need is a crescent wrench to pull the barrel or to install simply hand tight to the shoulder then barely snug it up with the wrench!
I could get fancy and use an inch lb torque wrench but it doesn't seem necessary and head space on a fired case only changed by + 1 thou over 10 shots and no adj. to current load
w/162 ELDMs
26" = 2738 fps / ES 6
20" = 2640 fps / ES 8
still keeps at the numbers I want at a 1000 yards*
RemV 1708 fps
RemE 1100 ft lb
* I hunt between 7 & 12,000 ft here in Colorado
