700 police 300 rum

I own a 700 police in 300 ultra , I ould like to get better grouping, i know shoot a 220gr. Sirea matchking bthp, i would like to go lighter any suggestions on a lighter round that cold get longer distances with out droping as much.

I currently shoot the sendero in the 300 RUM. 190gr SMK shoot very well. the 220 gr not so good. I get about3" groups at 300 yards. this is with my first load....no work up yet. however, when I shot a couple of 500 yard shots last winter with the 190gr, they made a an elongated hole. just luck? don't know but those 190gr just love to be pushed fast. I may just stick with the 190's if I can't get the 220 to fly better.

You could try the 190g SMK, or the 200g SMK's, maybe the 200g AB. Also the Berger 210g VLD.

As I already stated 96gr of RL25 using a 180gr nosler partition bullet will give you tight groups at long distance /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
