I have several different Vihtavouri powders that I'd like to try out in my 7 SAUM that's being finished up as we speak.

im trying to find an alternative to H1000, RL26, Retumbo since they're so hard to come by…

I have 168gr and 175gr bergers, as well as 160gr accubonds to try out.

the powders I'm considering are N560, N565, N570. My initial thought was to try the N565 as I've seen multiple guys have good luck in the 6.5 PRC's with it.

Does anyone have experience in the SAUM with these powders?

Thanks for the help!

I use n565 in my 7 sherman max (based on the 7 saum)with well under moa groups, 6 on the with 177 hammers. 180 vld bergers shoot well with that powder also.

I would be interested in some n570 loads with the 180s. I dont have a 7 saum but thinking about getting a barrel spun up in one. The only powder i have is n570 and thats pretty well all i can find

N570 is to slow for 180's in a 7 saum. H1000 is about slowest you can go with about 2 grains left before case is full in a long action.

Do you have a starting load for the N565 with 160-162gr cup and core bullets? Thanks.

I think N565 would be to slow for the 160's in a Saum. I shot it with 180's and I shot 64.1. I would be shooting H4350 area. Or N555

Thanks for your help. I have a pound of the N565, so I thought that I'd give it a try, but wasn't finding any loading data; now I understand why. I'm limited to bullets in the 160 range, so I'll save the N565 for something else and get back to a little faster powders. Haven't tried H4350 yet, but that may be the ticket. Highest velocity by far has been with Hybrid 100V, better accuracy with IMR4831 and IMR7828SS, but much slower, so I suspect I'm on both sides of something else that's better. Appreciate your help.
