I have a used Shilen Match Select Savage Prefit in 7 SAUM . Its large shank. It has perhaps 300 rds down it. It shot decent, but not great. I gave up about 4 years ago. Recently, I bore scoped it and it looks pristine. I have long considered having someone turn it into a small shank and recut the chamber and try again. It is certainly NOT shot out. I think the problem may have been that I wanted to run heavy bullets and that meant having to seat them too deep. It cost around $400 and I'd let it go for far far far less to someone who perhaps knows a smith that could make the changes. Or if you have a large shank savage action and wanted to try the in 7 SAUM. Who knows, you might be better than me........
