Long throated 7mm Rem mag- 76 grains H1000. MV right on 3100fps (24" barrel). Other pet load was 68.5 grains H4831sc for 3060fps.
My wife's 7mm Rem mag likes 70 grains H4831 for 3070fps (24" barrel)
Client rifle- Rem factory barrel, docked to remove a burr for 23". 69 grains 4831sc for 3090fps with the 154 SST. will need to back off a grain for the 162 grain Amax for 2990fps. In a three inch longer barrel, MV would be 3095fps.
Federal 215 primers and Win brass were used for all bar the 23" rem barrel which is utilizing the 210 primer- a good way to slow the burn rate slightly if using H4831sc.
Will be working a couple more 7mm rem mags over the next couple of weeks if you want to correlate data, seating depths etc. Will continue with H1000 provided there is enough free bore to allow a comfortable COAL and avoid powder cramping. Will also have a look (attempt) at loading the 180 grain VLD to speeds of 2900fps from 24" barrels- will be a challenge. Steph's (my wife) rifle gives 3100fps with the 168 grain VLD as a max load averaging just under 1MOA, best accuracy around 3000fps. The VLD has less bearing surface than other brands which must be taken into account when comparing velocities.
