Hopefully this doesn't bounce off.😂

Right, but what if it were a big one?

I'm kidding, those are some beautiful animals!
Yes he likes bragging a lot just makes me a non believer. Little pecker men tend to that. I mean you post pictures with no face and as far as I know pull a few pictures off someone's Facebook account. I'm not impressed and don't prove what weapon you used at all.

If that were the case, if he shoots his .22 rifle better should he use that for elk. People claim to have taken elk with a .22 caliber but it doesn't mean you should.
If you mean .223, he absolutely could do so without hesitation with good bullets, and his 6mm is perfectly capable. If you are referring to .22 LR, I have to assume you're just being deliberately obtuse, and therefore your comment serves no purpose.

But if you truly don't know why it doesn't have any merit in this conversation, allow me to help you out. A .22 LR doesn't provide 20" of penetration with massive expansion.

I'm not on Facebook, or any other social media. I'm a full time hunter, father, husband and part time general contractor, and I can't believe that you still have a place here with this culture of dishonor and disrespect you dish out to your fellow man. I'm sorry you feel like you have to behave this way to others to be heard.

He didn't post that until there was a thinly veiled callout saying he hadn't killed anything "big" with his "marginal" cartridge/bullet, and that if the moment of truth came on something worth caring about he'd wish for something bigger.

His reply was a way of saying, "I actually have killed some big stuff that lots of guys would call once in a lifetime, and not felt like I needed more gun."

Is there anything that would impress you and/or count as evidence in your mind? If yes, what would it be? If no, what's the point of participating here?

This is your opinion and not a fact. My position is still the same, just because a caliber has and can kill an elk, it doesn't mean it's the right tool for the job. I believe the thread started with asking a simple question as to what people thought about using his 6mm he obviously likes and is comfortable with or borrow a 7mm to hunt his elk. My statement stands - I would go with the 7mm in my experience. You can have a different opinion but trying to belittle others for their opinion shows only that you need to rule the conversation and everyone needs to listen to what you say. That's arrogant and doesn't hold water to those in the know.

I'm not on Facebook either or any other social media. I'm a father a grandfather and a husband also and I hunt as a hobby we have something in common. I think it's disrespectful to post pictures of animals that you may or may not have harvested to try and push your point, put a face on it. If that's going to be your pushing point. It's really meaningless other than self satisfaction. Now if someone would ask to see some pictures that would be different but still should have your face on it, So you can take it how ever you like. Sorry if I hurt your feelings, I apologize for the small pecker crack it was a joke to mean to strike a nerve.

I'm not understanding why it's important for the animal to be big. Big animals don't make you a better hunter. Just like shooting a small cartridge doesn't make you any better of a marksman, unless you are a kid or a woman and most women and kids graduate to a bigger caliber. I suppose Clay Hayes is a bad hunter, he shot a spike mule deer with his flintlock after 10 days in the backcountry.

You can't hurt my feelings and you didn't strike the nerve you think you did, I'm simply shocked that you're still allowed to be on this forum with that mouth, hopefully you don't talk that way in front of your grandchildren.

I don't put mine or any of my families identities on the internet, that's foolish for more reasons today than we have time to cover.

It doesn't matter what you believe or don't believe.
