I was curious if you could use the 270 WSM go and no go gauges to set the headspace? Or will the 6.8 have its own Go and No Go gauges? Looking at building one using a RemAge barrel.

the one way around buying gauges is to put one layer of masking tape on the base of a new case and use that. it will give you roughly .004 headspace. some guys go that route with prefits and it works ok but I recommend the right gauge.
one layer = go
two layers =no go

Caveat with that, is new brass is often significantly shorter in datum length than SAAMI (or CIP) spec.
Just had a batch of .300 WSM that was a good .005 under spec.
If you set HS with it, pretty good chance you won't be able to chamber all ammo.
I'd never do it with a shouldered barrel, but you can always tweak your headspace with a nutted barrel if you need to do so.
