6.8 Western do it yourself build

[Okie Whitetail Hunter]

Hello everyone built myself a 6.8 Western using the below components. Little upset as I messed up the stock a little when fitting it for the barrel nut.
Christensen Arms Magnum Short Action
Stocky's Stock Long Range Hunter Stock
Xcaliber 24", 1:7 twist, #5 contour, 9 spiral flutes
Trigger Tech Trigger
Topped with Leupold VX5hd 3-15x44
Total weight is 8lb 10oz without bipod.

Haven't made it to the range yet but hoping soon.

Pic's show where I opened up the stock for the barrel nut. Not at all visible except from above.

From what i see, it looks great. Good luck with shooting. You have a great caliber and the bullets just keep showing up each week in heavier bullet weights. Your twist will allow heavyweights.

Looks like a heck of a rifle. Put a tuner brake on that and get shooting!

Too bad Stocky's doesn't offer a low cost option of opening the nut area. I think the Barrel Nut projects are going to grow, thinking about it myself.
