6.8 SPC. Rem 700 Question.

Purchased a stainless heavey barrel remington 700 about a year ago The stock is similar to the vssf 2 in color scheme. On the bbl it is stamped 6.8mm rem.spc. 1st production run. My questions are should I hold off on shooting this gun? Is it just one of several thousand out there or one of just a few? Any info or input would be great.

Got an answer, they made a bunch like that. Not a rarity apparently. Go for it. Just got that info a few days before Christmas.
