Hello All,

Just thought I'd toss this out to you and see what comes of it...

I bought some of the Hornady Ammo recently for my 6.5x50 Jap. When feeding, the bolt has to be horsed around a little, and feeding definitely needs too much pressure to seat the rounds and close the bolt compared to normal. Norma Ammo did not do this (Norma feeds beautiful), and I have seen this referenced in a couple different threads around the internet, but it's usually blamed on the bolt face or the claw, but I'm not convinced that's the issue. Have any of you used the same combination of Rifle/Ammo with this problem?

Also, any hints or tips on reloading this round would be welcome. Pet loads, best bullets, powders, velocities.

I'm running the original 200' long barrel <maybe exaggerated just a little>, and would be interested in your opinions of proper barrel shortening length's.

This was brought home in pieces after being Bubba'd, so your not contributing to destruction of a rifle by advice, just contributing to optimizing a shooter.

Thanks for any feedback,
Dan
