I shoot 70grs of Retumbo with 140 Amax's in RWS brass at 3230fps (its a pretty hot load in my gun). I've also shot 73grs of R-33 at 3290fps. With Winchester brass you can add about 2.5-3grs of powder and 50+fps. That is a 28" Bartlein barrel. In my 26" barreled gun I shoot 73grs of Retumbo with 123 Amax's in RWS brass at 3380fps. It's hell on rockchucks.
I'll probably play with some R-50 and R-33 loads in the next little bit with my newest 6.5-300wm using Winchester brass to see what kind of velocity I can get with 123's and 140's. IMO Retumbo is really too fast for the case capacity and R-33 might be too fast with 140's as well. My Retumbo loads are just 1/4"-3/8" loads so I hate to burn a barrel up playing too much.

thanks just got the barrel last week still waiting on the stock. It gives me a few powder options and reduce those loads to give me a place to start. thanks again.
I just shot 75.5grs of R-33 with a 140 Amax in Winchester brass out of my 26" barreled gun this weekend. It was going 3285fps and it wasn't that hot. 75.5grs of Retumbo with a 123 went 3508fps in Winchester brass.
