I had a 6.5x284 built on a trued Remington 700 action with a 26" Rock Creek heavy barrel with brake. Great shooter, but way too heavy for where I hunt in Idaho. I want to go 24" to 26" in a lighter sporter barrel. What are your suggestions? And does anyone have what I'm looking for at a price I might be able to afford?
