6.5 x 284 Perfomance information

Hello,

I have a couple of 6.5x284 chambered custom barrels that I have not used as of yet. Both have 8" twists. These will be used for hunting with 130gr scirocco bullets............

My question (because I have not tinkered with this caliber at all) is what sort of performance to expect out of the 31" barrel and what the performance would be chopped down to 26" using the 130gr scirocco bullets. I will be running the loads hot.

My 1000yd guns have 31" barrels.
With 142 gr. Sierra's, they're running 3040 fps using H-4831SC.
Same load in an 18" X-P 100 runs 2740 fps.

I'm getting 3000 fps shooting 130 AB's out of a 24" barrel using 53 gr. of RL22. I haven't tried the swifts in my 6.5 because these bullets have been real finicky in every gun I have tried them in so far.
