Is the barrel a Proof Research Sendero contour?
1x8" ?
Is this similar to Model Seven action or 700 S/A?

Proof Research Sendero 1-8. It's their Deviant with a couple extra ounces cut off. It's like a 700 but you should probably go to Defiance Machine and see what it is.

What does it weigh?

When on Defiance site--if you could measure from center to center of the scope mounts we will know 4.3" short --- 4.657" medium (700 SA)

I measured 4.679 so it's the medium. The barreled action weighs 4 lbs. 11.5 oz. on my postal scale.

If anyone is interested in this as a complete rifle I have a Greybull Precision stock and Timney Calvin Elite trigger I can add to the deal. I think I may even have Remington bottom metal.
