6.5 muzzle brake clearance

Bought a 6.5 proof barrel & brake. The brake came as a 6mm. All I had to ream the brake with was a .281" reamer. Is this enough clearance or does it need to be opened up?
I plan to set a stop on the reamer so it does not touch the barrel crown to "clean" the brake occasionally. Thanks for your input.

Most smiths seem to recommend .020" over bullet diameter. My brakes are set up that way. At .281" I think you'd be fine.

Can't remember where but saw a vide where they did a bunch of testing and 0.010" - 0.020" was the sweet spot for velocity and recoil reduction.
