Guys I worked a load up starting at 40gr of H4350 and stopped at 43.5 going up in half grain charges with the 142gr Matchking. The final load printed a group just outside 1/4 in with no pressure signs in my Savage Model 10 Predator Hunter. Groups were three shot at 100 yards off a bipod and rear bag. The rifle is bone stock, nothing special besides turning down the trigger. Just thought I would share my findings with this new round. I am 2 full grains over max but my rifle loves it.

Your barrel might not......

I'd set up with GameKings instead. I liike the 6.5 Savage, I have one but it's a 11 Lightweight hunter.

Sidecar I am curious about your comments. Wy the gameking and not the matchking? My barrel seems to like them just fine, I am pushing it a bit but like I said no pressure signs yet. I have 140gr Bergers on order but they are a ways out and I have always loved the MK

backcountryguide---good to hear the accuracy on the savage. I've got that same rifle coming as it comes in left handed. I've got another creedmoor and I tried the 142 and the 140 berger. This rifle seems to like the 140 sst. Amazing accuracy.
And how much did you pay for that savage?? :D

...Mine seems to 'like' the gamekings better.

But then I'm a hunter and the Gameking is a specific hunting projectile.

Just bought the left handed Savage Model 10 Predator in 6.5CM myself. Payed $790 for it shipped.
I look forward to seeing your results with the 140gr Bergers as that is one of the rounds I plan to use for deer.
