50 vs 54 Cal. with Conicals

Between a 50 and 54 cal what's everyone preference when shooting conicals and why?

I like my .54 but I also like TC Maxiballs which have been discontinued.
I dont have any experience with .50

Fifty with conicals. 54 bullets with equal sectional density and overall exterior ballistics don't offer anything but more recoil IMO.

IMHO, when shooting a conical bullet accurately, it's all about the twist in the barrel and not the size of the hole in the barrel that matters. That said, if both barrels had adequate twist to stabilize the bullet and shoot it accurately, I'd take the .54. Yes, the .50 will shoot a bit flatter but I've never known a bigger hole in the right spot to ever be the wrong answer.
