Curious how the atips are gonna be on game. Would be my choice for long range work out of my 30sherman.

Might be less, he had an action on hand. The stock apparently came in last week.
I'm excited to see the final piece. Might have to outfit it with a NF 7-35 and a Phoenix bipod

I don't see them holding up, I've pulled apart more than one definace with a Lapua chamber that was significantly set back and the owner reported no issues, one set back the lugs till the handle wouldn't close.
A Lapua running at RUM pressure is more more bolt thrust than many actions can handle long term even if nothing goes way over pressure!

Curious what to look for regarding lug setback. I've got a Defiance and a 700 Rem both chambered in 338 Lapua-based cases. Each action is nearing the end of their second barrel with no identifiable issues to date. Thanks.

thats a great results !!!! we shoot 30xc 7 twist and at 3300 the 245 s come apart Im interested in your load date and how far off the the rifling you are and what twist your running .

127gr of 20n29 for powder. Running a 1:8.5 34" 5R Bartlien.

thats what we use out of 30 inch 7 twist @ 3300

After 127 we stopped gaining speed and just increased pressure with 128 and 129. 127gr is the max that 34" barrel can burn?

30" and 3300fps I reckon 25fps an inch is about right

we found the same thing we tried the barnes 212 lrx were able to go with 129 grains rl50 at 3575

I finally had time to build my 30-33xc. Did some pressure testing yesterday. 7 shots starting at 119 grains Vihtavuori 20n29 to 126 grains. Speeds started at 3254 and went up to 3325 fps without any pressure signs. I will post results once I get the load dialed in.
