A gunsmith on Big Bore Rifles facebook page did them for me in Washington state a super nice guy. They should be here today or tomorrow. I sent him the 3- die Redding deluxe set in 300 RUM and he anealed them and took them out to the proper 416 diameter with .003" neck tension. I sent him 4 dummy bullets we had made up so he could measure neck thickness. I ordered the little 416 neck expander and seater ftom Redding. They were here in 4- days and cheap. The barrel was from
www.raggedholebarrels.com that 416 stainless Wilson .0002" hand lapped match barrel 27" blank was $165 we have done a dozen of their barrels and all have been 1/4 MOA or less. Those guys have a contract they have to buy 100 barrels a month for their pricing so they install a bunch and sell the rest at cost just to keep their pricing. We have done a bunch of 6.5's, 7x57, 375, 416's all have been shooters. Robert trues up chamber end a few thousandths and takes 1" off muzzle so they finish 26". I really appreciate your knowledgable posts. If you want to build another one I got the reamer you can borrow. I bought a new 700 Long Range in 300 RUM so it was just a rebarrel except for the 3.850" detachable mags and bottom metal from PTG. Put a 4-20oz trigger in it set at 8 oz. Let me know how I can help you.
