338 win mag load

my father-in-law has a rem 700 bdl chambered in 338 win mag. He wants me to work up a good load for it. I am looking for a good starting point.gun)

I have a Ruger M77 MKII that likes 225gr NAB, 73.5gr H4831SC, and CCI250. I started at 71gr and increased it by .5gr increments.

Try the max load listed in the nosler manual for a 180 grain bullet with H-414 and use the 185 grain Barnes ttsx for a flat shooting and hard hitting load that will shoot as far as the rifles capability. The bc is higher in my rifles than what they list.
