338 LRAB’s.....Anyone tested them?

The 338 LRAB have been out of stock for a very long time. I'm start to wonder if Nosler has introduced them but never made a run of them. Has anyone tested these?

I'm interested in hearing some reports too... but don't have any plans to use them considering the 270 ELD-X is shooting lights out in my 338 ultra mag.

I am shooting the Hornady 285 eldm this year and finally got two kills on antelope yesterday. Devastating, both DRT 242 and 284 yards, dialed 1.5 moa. I am shooting 100 grs of RL33 about .010 off the lands with a wyatts magazine and I am over 3000 fps. Now to see if I can kill a cow elk to see how the bullet holds up. For what it is worth, I am shooting flatter that a buddies 250 gr berger from his edge!

Yes, I've been meaning to start a dedicated thread. Shot a bull last month with a pretty low impact velocity down around 1900 FPS and I retrieved one of the bullets.

I had a chance today to take a cow at 989 yards, but I wasn't feeling like I wanted to pack it that far, so I passed. My other concern was I haven't taken these eldm bullets that far yet and I didn't want to wound an elk.

That is a very ethical decision... with 285 grains of fragmenting bullet, I don't thing you have much to worry about though.

It was a bit on the cold side this morning, and I wasn't sure how much velocity I would loose, I would have been comfortable at 800 yards, but the elk had me pinned and as I tried to close the distance they moved off. I didn't realize when I drove my atv up a trail that I would be right in the open where they could see me either and with 4 inches of fresh snow, they had me pegged. To make matters worse, some other hunters saw the elk too and were making a stalk and I had to beat them to the elk. I would have loved to make the shot, but I think a shot like that would be much better with a spotter.
