I have a 338 asquare that art built for me about 17 years ago. Mine has a 26" barrel that he recominded because I mainly hunt out of blinds. I have form dies that take down 378 brass to the 338 with no problem. If you use 416 brass you will need to take it down to 378 first or you will just crush the neck. Due to the length of the barrel, asquare factory ammo was pretty hot and so were the pressures. I ended up with alot of split necks, so I dropped the powder down a bit and everything was fine. I load with 98 gr of 4831, 200 gr ballastic tips. Velocity is 3100 fps and 5 shot group at 100 yrs is about .25 in. Art wrote about me in his reloading manual under the 338 asquare. My rifle has a leopold 6.5 x 14 tactical scope with mildots. It will explode cottontails at 500+ yards with no problem. This is the only rifle that I hunt with anymore since he built it for me. Let me know if you have any other questions.
