It is rifle only. I believe it is a 1 and 10 inch twist. I can't find the original paperwork on the barrel so i will need to do it the old fashion way. I will get back to you.

That's a great rifle and round.I have a 338-06 and I love it.Make my brass from once-fired 30-06 brass,one trip through 338-06 A-Square dies and your done.

Same here, great caliber and easy to size up from 30/06 brass. One of the best kept secrets in hunting rounds!

I love my 338-06. I shoot 175 gr. TSX's at over 2900 fps from a 23 in barrel. GREAT all around round.

Mine shoots 180gr Accubonds 3000fps and 200grs an easy 2800 +fps.

So it is a 1 to 10 inch twist. with a 24 inch barrel.
It shoots everything really well, even the 165 grain barnes which is pleasant to shoot and about 3000 fps.
