.338-06 rifle.

Great cartridge choice. I remember seeing pulled factory barrels for sale on gun broker recently, I wish you luck on finding complete rifle

There was a Sako 338-06 listed 4-5 months back, not sure it sold. Sounds like your after a Weatherby but if your curious a simple search will bring it up.

I have one in a colt light rifle, with scope it weighs 6.8 lbs and shoots .75 inch groups with 175 Barnes at 2900 fps. One of the best all around calibers for North America.

Take a look at the 338 Gibbs. If my 338-06 did not shoot so well I would re-chamber it in Gibbs, but it shoots so well I don't want to screw it up.

I have a semi-custom built on a trued rem.700 bolt &assem.,shilen barrel(24"st.st.barrel)&synthetic Lonewolf stock.2.5x8 luoplold scope. its my favorite as the nosler 200gr.accur. custom ammo has been under 1". great ammo but quite $$these days. still have 200 loads +100 cases I bought 10+yrs.ago. I been ill (heart valve) for a while but really looking to hunt once again. I do want another .338-06 if possible! that scaled Weatherby is on my mind but Sako,Rem.or a Beretta Mato in.280 rem will feed my "sweet teeth". whats better than rubbing your rifles! yes you wife also!lol, lol!! I shall continue a search. Dskiper

I have a Sako AV in a 338-06 synthetic stock. It is custom built with a broughton barrel with trued action. Likes everything from 165 grain barnes to the 200gr plus Sierra and Barnes.

Great cartridge choice. Could be tough to find a factory rifle but a 270 or 30-06 could always be sent for a rebore from JES. Had a Kimber montana punched out to 338-06 last year. Shoots far better than a 5 lb rifle should.

I cannot believe this one never sold it would have been mine if I had not just finished building one I really like the sako action and broughton barrels are a mighty fine tube

great idea to rebore to this caliber but shipping all over is very, very expensive! I went to send a pair of Shnees boots for new bottoms a day ago. it was near 50$$ just one way!! my looking for that .338-06 will start that way here in N.J.
