308 Hunting ammo

I have some FGMM 168 SMK that I want to convert to hunting ammo. Planning to pull the SMK and push a Berger Classic Hunter 168 BTHP. Any thoughts?

Why not just work up a load with that bullet. I am sure it would be close. It is worth a try

Buck, Thanks for the reply. I have a lot of FGM ammo just sitting on the shelf since I don't shoot competition any longer. I am just looking for a way to use some of it.

I wonder if shortening the nose slightly would provide a profile that would expand reliably. I'm sure that they'd shoot just as good while reducing the BC only slightly.

Just a thought.
