300 WSM velocity with 225 ELD-M or 230 VLD

Kinda curious what people are getting for velocity from a properly throated 300 wsm with
225 Eld-m's, or 230 Bergers in a hunting length barrel (27" max).

One of my clients runs the 225 ELDM at just under 2900' in his 300 SS so the WSM should do a little better. I think he was 2889.
His is a 28" barrel.

You bet. With the extra capacity in the WSM, something like Retumbo might work too. Can't get enough in my little case.

SS has about 74 grs h20 filled

I used 7828ssc to get 230s to 2750 fps in my 26" barreled 300 WSM. I'm pretty sure I could get the 230s to 2850-2875 with RL26. 2900 fps would be a stretch for my rifle.

What is your oal with the 230, did you throat your rifle to seat the bullet were it should be?

I'm using a SAAMI spec chamber in a custom barreled Win M70 WSM action. My 230 OTM hybrid load is seated to fit and feed from the magazine at 2.985 OAL. Now that we're discussing the 230s I really need to revisit. I've been using the 200 ELD-X with RL26 at 3015 fps for the last little while.

Have you pulled the spacer out of the mag well box?
