I am getting ready to start testing 190 gr ABLR in my 300 WSM and was wondering if any one else has and what their results and what there thoughts are of them?
Also I have been reading about the G7 BC, instead of the G1 BC. I never head of the G7 BC, and thoughts?

I have not, but would be interested in your results. I tried h4831sc, but pressures seemed high to get velocity.

now trying r26 and 180 Berger EL at 3035fps. That is working better.

G1 vs G7 is about bullet shape. a g1 is a flat base basically. A g7 is a boat tail. Use g7.

190 ABLR's would be a nice choice if you can do 2950 or better.

what brass, if I may ask?

I am using Win Brass, I am going to be testing RL-22 and IMR4831 next range test. Getting things set back up after a move from Oregon to Idaho, so things are going slower that normal. LOL

I am working a load for 190 ABLRs in my tikka 300wsm. I'm using 61.9gr of RL16. This is just at 2900 FPS but I **** my barrel at 21's" and run a harvester. What did you get for velocity with RL22? I was thinking of trying RL23 once I find it. Photo is 61.9 red and yellow is 62.0. Both shot at 600 yards with the same POA. POI shifts are minimal. Seam like a real node here, I think it's a great combo.

I got 2922 with 69.0gr RL22, Grouped a little better than yours at 500 meters. Did not think to take a photo of it. I will have to try the RL16 in mine and RL23 once we can get some powder in the world. For now will have to make due with what's on hand.

If you try the RL16 and 168's, you can basically fill case up to the neck and cruncher down when you seat the bullet. I'm kidding but seriously. I think I had that case almost full! Had to use an ultrasonic toothbrush and got it up to 3200 FPS before pressure signs but the accuracy for my rifle was at 3050. It seams to like lots of pills.

68 grains of IMR-7828 at 2925fps through a Savage M11. I only had 2 rounds left, but at 405 yards, the 190VLD punched clear through 3/8" stainless and grouped beautifully.
