I've got a Gen 1 sendero 300wby on the way to me. I've loaded for 300 win mag & 300 Norma. Looking for some 300wby "pet loads" (LoL, an ancient reloading phrase). I've got 208 elds & 215 Berger's on hand and would really like to run those. Got N570, retumbo, H1000 & RL26 on hand. Nosler brass is on the way to me. I'm anticipating hitting a node somewhere between 3040-3060 if I can get there before too much pressure shows up. Has anyone hit higher nodes with either of these two bullets?

You have a very nice powder list that is an envy for most. For the 215 (or even 230) contact Berger for their latest load test that did not make it to their current reloading manual.

I've had retumbo & h1000 a while. I searched the ends of the Earth for rl26& n570. It took being on waiting list and a three hour drive to get the last those last two powders. LoL

I was on a waiting list with Bruno's for 2-3 months for n570 In the meantime I called every reloading shop with in a 200 mile radius. Found 10 1lb cans of pre decoppering n570 and bought them. Then got 8lb decoppering n570 from Bruno's and haven't even opened it. Basically I had the same scenario happen with finding rl26. I feel very fortunate to have found them. Some folks are beginning to think that they don't exist. I've got retumbo from days of old.

I have a custom 300 Wby, it likes 80.0 grains of 7828 with 210 Bergers. I get 3000 fps in a 25 in barrel- but this load is HOT. I really can't even shoot it above 85*.

Send berger an email and they will send you the data you want.

I have the info for the 210 for 300 weatherby.

Retumbo, and H1000 are near the top of the list. Starting was at about 76.5gr and worked up to about 81gr.

I am running a custom chamber from Hart, 3180 muzzle velocity. haven't had it out in a while.
Hornady 208 BTHP Match
83.9gr H1000
Weatherby Brass
Fedral 215 primer

its hot but cycles fine. seating depth and neck tension are touchy.

Have you made any progress on your 300wby load development? Just picked up one and getting ready to start myself. Got some Berger 208's and H1000 to start with.

sorry i just saw this. i am using a chamber with a short throat on it so my load is most likely not going to work for you but i am having success with the 208 and H1000. velocity sweet spot is around 3100fps with a 24in 1 10 twist hart barrel

I followed the Nosler manual for Retumbo and the 212ELDX. My 24 inch barrel matched their 26 at max load. My groups were better though with less of the Retumbo. I have tried N570 but never got over 3000 fps with it accuracy wasn't that great. I am wondering though if a faster than 10 twist would be better for the 212 ELDX. Berger recomends faster then 10 for the 215.
