I had my smith blueprint a factory 700 action and spin on a Rock Creek 300 RUM back in 2012, shot great but those hotty's don't last forever... I decided to go another route and had him fit a 7PRC this time, cerakoted and bed. It's practically unrecognizable now, and I dig it! He sighted/broke barrel in with factory 175 ELD-X and it's printing just over .4 MOA. Gonna be easy to work up a load on this one me thinks...

Loading up some Berger 180's tonight and give it a run through tomorrow. Very pleased with how the old girl turned out!

Lots of Love over here at my place for the 300 Rum ..but dang that transformation looks Killer !
I have heard some good things about the 7Prc and 180 gr bergers!
If it shoots half as good as it looks ..your going to fill the freezer for a long time !!

Rum Man

I have had really good luck with 180s and n570

That's what I've heard. I don't have any N570 so will be trying H1000 and see how it goes, I also have about 16 lbs of Retumbo from the RUM that I may have on the market soon to swap out for a little faster powder.

Man I'm loving that transformation.

I'm waiting on the same stock for a 338 edge build.

My next will likely be a 7 PRC, seems optimal for 180s without getting into the nosler and rums.

I'm thinking MANNERS is an old Indian word for slow delivery process. 🤔
Thanks!

I know what you mean, I had a Manners PH on order but ended up finding a new one here in classifieds that was cheaper than a build from Manner and no tax man or shipping...
