Hey guys, just picked up some 210berger VLD's yesterday and I have never loaded these before. I did a search on here but didnt see a whole lot about this load. Any one have a good load for this combo? Specifically with Re-22, because that's what I have right now.

I think i will start by seating them .01 off the lands and see how that does. Also Berger sent me some load info and the max charge they say with re-22 is 71.1 gr. but seems like other loads ive seen load a bit more. Is Berger just being conservative?

Thanks guys!

Not sure about rel 22 but I've been using H1000. Here is my load for my Rem 700 P in 300 Win Mag. A little hot but safe in my rifle. And let me say it shoots!

210 hunting VLD
80gr H1000
CCI 250 primers
COL 3.612"
velocity about 2950fps

Nice group, but that load would freeze the bolt in many of the 300 wins I load for with 210 Bergers. I just finished a Senaro that had a hard bolt lift at 77 gr of H-1000 so I backed it off to 75.

My point is, every rifle is different and I would work up from 72 or 74 grains of H-1000 with 210's in a 300.

Thanks for those loads guys. I've loaded 30 rounds, 6 round with 5 different charges, 70.7 to 71.5 in .2 increments. I dont know when Ill get to go shoot them, but soon hopefully. Oh and I seated them just touching the lands.

ive been using 91.5 gr of reloader 25 with either the 208gr Amax or the 210 vld bergers in my m700 in 300 ultra mag and im getting .5 moa and approx 3020 fps mv, E @ 1000yds = 1400lbs, drift=54",drop=235"@1000yds vel @1000yds=1750fps used handloads.com for data

ive also used 98gr of RL25 with 168gr horn match bullets in the RUM and have gotten some awesome groups (for me anyway)@ 100yds had one .183" center to center and another at .254" c t c. they flew @ approx 3400 fps

I tried .008" off the lands and was not happy with the grouping with the 210 Bergers, ~1.2" @ 100 yards. I was getting 5 shot groups .38" at 100 yards with the Sierra 200 GR. Game Kings. 78.5 gr. H1000 .010" off the lands.

I did some digging in the Berger sight and they recommend .030-.040" off the lands. I have three sets of three to verify but no reason to not believe them. Loading with 78.5 gr. H1000 for my testing. Lots of people shoot at the lands or into them, so use what your rifle likes.
