Got the Encore SMOKING...
Prone, Bi-pod, .270, 28" SS barrel. Nosler Custom Brass, light neck turn, once fired, neck sized only. Very light neck tension. 130 grain Berger VLD hunting bullets. Powder is RL17 and shooting about 3100 FPS. Used a Leupold 6.5X20 LR with the VH reticule. By the way, that's the BEST scope on the market for under a grand.

Not bad for a Breach loading deer rifle. gun)

Been waiting 3 full months already for my 6.5X47 Lapua BR rifle to come in!

Good shootin', got any pics of that smoke-pole? JohnnyK.

I've got some, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get them posted to this site. The interesting thing about my gun is the Harmonic Balancer I had installed. They really do work.gun)

I never used one, but a lot of guys like the Sightron line. I think those are under $1000. Nice shooting by the way.

Mine was installed by ASI, who does great custom gun work.
The Harmonic Balancer was about 290 but my barrel had to be turned down to be able to install it, so that cost some extra. But less than 300 bucks for a Harmonic Balancer that is also a muzzle break. And it does both jobs well.
I'd attach a picture if I could figure out how to do it, but I can't I've tried 3 or 4 times.

The barrell is a stock Bergara, 28 SS Heavy contour with fluting.

However, I had a Harmonic Balancer added by ASI. It is both a muzzle break and a harmonic balancer and it works great. gun)
