Custom 260 Remington
Has about 100 rounds down the tube. I built it for my daughter but found her a different gun she liked better.
I have over 1000.00 dollars in this gun but I will sell it for 750.00 or best offer.
FN Action
Controlled action feed
Douglas Barrel threaded, turned, polished, cut to length and crowned.
Timney Trigger
Action has been bedded.
All done by a gunsmith in my area.
The only thing I didn't do to this gun was replace the stock. I liked the stock and it was slim to fit her hands, also, if it got scarred up I didn't care....
Let me know if you have any questions. Pictures are below

What is the twist rate on the barrel, the barrel length, and what is the LOP?

1-8" Twist rate
13.25 inches LOP
23 inches barrel Lenght

With the 100 rounds or so you shot how well did it shoot? Have you done any load workup? I'm looking to buy a Deer rifle for my wife. She is 5'4 130 pounds. I'd say her shoulder span is average. How do you think this rifle would fit?

Bigeclipse,
I think it would fit her fine. I just had my wife shoulder it but she is about 5'7". If you wanted to cut it down a qualified gun smith would be able to do it and the stock is nice but I wouldn't worry about cutting it down to shorten the LOP.
Also, the stock has a thin forearm and grip so I think she would be able to grasp it easily as well. I didn't do a ton of workup on it but I did get it to shoot 120 grain noslers at about 3/4 moa with 45 g H4350. My 15 year old daughter killed a nice buck with it last year and I killed a doe with it during doe season last year as well. Neither deer moved out of its tracks.

Couple more questions if you don't mind. Did you only work the accubonds a bit or did you try other bullets as well? If so, what powders/bullets and how did they shoot? You say the stock is a bit thin which sounds great for my wife, but does it make the stock thin enough to bend and touch the barrel? How is the recoil and how much would you estimate the rifle weighs? Thanks

I didn't work in the accubonds, I did shoot the 120 grain Barnes Triple Shocks and it shot them under an MOA with H4350 but I can't remember the exact grains, I cant find my notes on it. The stock is not bedded but the barrel is free floated. I am sure if you bedded the stock it would probably improve the gun, but it shot good enough for my purposes so I didn't do anything with the stock. It weighs about 6 pounds.
Thanks!

Oh...in the original post you stated the action was bedded...

I took it apart to look at it when I was responding to your questions because I couldn't remember for sure and it has had apoxy bedding along the rear of the barrel but I can't tell if the action has been bedded or not and I can't remember if I had it done or not so I am assuming no. Send me your email in a PM and I will send you pictures of inside the stock and all over the gun so you can see for it yourself.
