.260 rem with 130 accubonds...

I just acquired a rem 700 in .260 with a 24" factory tube, sporter weight, and have never loaded for that caliber before. I have a box of 130 grain accubonds lying around and figured that would be a good hunting/practice round. Anybody have any good loads for that combo or any combo really. Hogdon's site as well as Nosler's do not have much info on the 130's. I would also like to try the 120 Sie Pro Hunters and 140 Sie Game Kings.

The powders I have on hand are H1000, H4350, H380, H414, and RL 19 (not opposed to buying a different powder if need be). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have a Remington Model 7 in 260 Rem.. I had the factory barrel replaced with a 22 inch Hart barrel . This gun will shoot most anything I load for it and it does shoot 130 Accubonds quite accurately. My favorite powder for speed and accuracy is RL-19.

H4350 and H414 will also work. I just checked the Nolser web site and they give some data using H414 and 130 grain Accubond. I have had great luck with 120 Nosler BT and RL-17. However you have enough powders to find a good load.

I would go with the H4350 that what I am running getting 2956 on cold bore shots pushing 140g VLD.

Second choice is H414 but it and H4350 are so close

VZ24 action 260 Rem, 22" Douglas long chambered #3 taper 3 pound barrel VZ24 stock with barrel channel milled out but no epoxy
Weaver #45 and #46 two piece steel scope mounts with Devcon Steel putty under the mounts and Loctite 242 on the threads. Burris Low tactical rings with 6 screws on the cap and a bolt on the Weaver rail.
IOR 2.5x10x42 scope with MP-8 1/2 mili rad reticule in first focal plane and moa turrets. Rubber tube extensions on both ends of the scope. Scope center is 1.9" above bore center.
100 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip moly coated # 26100 bullet moly coated, 45.0 gr canister IMR4895,
2.940" over all length, almost no insertion of the bullet into the neck, due to the short bullet and long throat.
Quickload prediction 61,328 psi 3261 fps
chronographs as 3,236 fps

0.3" 3 shot group at 100 yards, still perfectly sighted in on third trip to the range.
