Well I finally got out today to try out the sendero and man is it a shooter! I just got it bedded and topped it off with a Leupold VX-3 8.5-25 which is a loaner from my pops until my 6.5-20 gets back from the factory after the turrets are installed. Anyways I loaded up a few loads all with IMR-4350 and tried 87gr Speer Tnt's, 90gr Sierra BlitzKings and 100gr ballistic tips. I only shot 3 shot groups at 100 yards but with new Norma brass, fed 210 primers and the brass just neck sized I was able to get a .290" group with the 100gr ballistic tips and 50.5gr and a .310" group with the sierra blitzkings and 52.1gr. Overall I couldnt be happier and think I'll stick with the ballistic tips for now as it is more of a dual purpose bullet if needed for groundhogs and deer. Just curious but has anybody ever used the 100gr ballistic tips for groundhogs and what kind of damage did they do? I figure they should do well considering they are moving around 3300fps but i know they have a little thicker jacket than the tnt's and blitzkings so Im just curious.
